The Air Quality Research Center at UC Davis is holding its second in a series of biennial conferences supported by the California Air Resources Board on advances in meteorology and climate modeling for air quality applications. This conference will interest those involved in research that utilizes meteorological and climatological data.

Pacific Northwest drought of 2015

After a warm winter and dry spring, the Governors of Oregon and Washington have declared drought in parts of both states. There will be severe water shortages across the region, but the largest cities of Seattle and Portland expect to have sufficient water supply for the summer and beyond.

Prescribed Fire Opportunities

Joint Base Lewis McChord with the cooperation of CNLM and assistance of the WA Prescribed Fire council will be hosting several training opportunities for those interested in gaining further experience with firing and initial attack operations in grassland fuels.

Trainings are scheduled for July 15, August 19 and September 16.
